Ducati Panigale V2 Preview

The Ducati Panigale V2 replaces the Panigale 959. The middleweight superbike is inspired by its bigger brother Panigale V4 but features a smaller twin-cylinder powertrain as opposed to V4 engine. The Panigale V2 is design is identical to the V4, and that means it looks very pretty. However, it's more compact than its sibling. The Panigale V2 comes powered by a 995cc Superquadro engine that churns out 153bhp @ 10,750rpm and 104Nm of peak torque at 9,000rpm. The engine is paired to six-speed gearbox. Like the Panigale V4, the Panigale V2 packs a lot of kit and top-shelf cycle parts. On offer here is cornering ABS, quick-shifter, anti-wheelie system, three riding modes, Ducati Traction Control EVO2, et al. The Panigale V2 is equipped with adjustable 43mm Showa BPF fork at the front, and a Sachs fully adjustable monoshock at the rear. The bike also gets a Sachs steering damper. Braking duties are carried out by twin M4.32 Brembo monobloc callipers and two 320 mm discs at the front, and a single 245 mm disc at the rear. The Panigale V2 is expected to be priced at Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom).
