Triumph Tiger 900 Highlights

The Triumph Tiger 900 range will be launched in India on June 19, 2020. Triumph has already started accepting pre-bookings for the bike. Expect prices to range between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom India). The GT, Rally and Rally Pro variants will be launched in India. The new-generation range consists of the base Tiger 900, Tiger 900 GT and Rally variants. Triumph also offers a Pro sub-variant for both the GT and Rally models, which are likely to be the versions that will be brought to our shores. 

The new Triumph Tiger 900 range is powered by a new 888cc inline-three-cylinder engine, which churns out 95.1PS and 87Nm. Triumph says the new-gen engine produces 10 per cent more torque compared to its predecessor. The engine is linked to a 6-speed transmission with slip assist clutch. A bi-directional quickshifter is standard on the GT Pro and Rally Pro variants.

The base model, GT and GT Pro feature Marzocchi suspension on both ends whereas the Rally family comes with Showa units. All the models come with an inverted cartridge fork up front and a gas-charged monoshock at the rear. Brakes include twin discs with Brembo Stylema calipers up front and a 255mm disc at the rear for all the models. However, the GT and Rally models get more sophisticated cornering ABS as standard.
